Islamic Meat & Poultry (IMP) opened its doors in 1986 with the goal of providing meat that followed the strictest interpretation of halal.  IMP established many milestones in halal industry, including being the first USDA halal only slaughter facility, and the first halal hand slaughter with no stunning facility for lamb, goats, and beef.

In an industry that attempts to short cut every process, IMP has pioneered putting out the best quality halal meat in the market.   Every product is hand selected before and after process to make sure the customers get the highest quality meat.

In 2012, IMP strived into it’s first new product in 20 years, chicken.  Although chicken was available in the market, a correctly done hand slaughtered chicken was not.  IMP took it a step further by making sure all it’s birds were antibiotic free, free range and fed a full 100% vegetarian diet, followed by air chilling all it’s birds, something that had never been done for halal chicken.  It’s product became heralded by chefs and consumers alike.

IMP continues to strive to provide the best products in the market.  Every product IMP puts out is tested and retested to make sure that not only it’s the best tasting, but it’s wholesome.  You can always be at ease with our own family mantra, “if we won’t eat it, we won’t sell it.”  It’s that precise thinking that makes IMP products the best in the market and we can guarantee that.
